Physics has always been an enigma to me. The more I tried to understand it, the more strange and fascinating it seemed. In my younger days, I went with the flow, focusing on good grades rather than grasping the content. I thought that once I got through school, I’d never need physics again, so why bother? But later, as I was exposed to more ideas and perspectives, a wonderful world opened up for me. While I still struggle with complex theories and formulas, it’s the simplest topics that have always captivated me.

Throughout my academic and professional life as a researcher and teacher, I realized that physics has a deeply philosophical side if you look at it from a different perspective. Teaching topics like vibrations and resonance made me reflect on how they mirror life. All we need is one external trigger that matches our frequency to produce the maximum output. Isn’t that what we’re all searching for? To find that one thing in life that brings out our best effort, no matter the resistance.

This idea connects deeply with Eminem’s song “Beautiful” (yes, I’m a fan!). We often try to match ourselves with others, seeking acceptance and fleeting happiness, only to lose sight of who we really are. In trying so hard to fit in, we miss the chance to find our own path. Eminem captures this beautifully.

The song’s message is simple: the path you were given fits you, so walk it with pride and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Like in physics, where resonance occurs when an external force matches an object’s natural frequency, life’s purpose is finding what resonates with us. It’s about being true to ourselves, finding that unique frequency, and letting it guide us to our full potential.
